writing stories

Share your inspirational journey with us and inspire others. Your story can empower local actions to foster global change in our humanitarian endeavors.

Your impact

You may wonder about the real impact your donation makes. That is an important concern. Since we each pay for our own travel and living expenses, your money goes directly toward the people who need it most. In Cusco, Peru, (one of the areas we serve) the average worker makes $5 - $10 per month. A skilled registered nurse makes around $90 per month before taxes.

The people we work with could never afford the training, service, and upgrades we provide. However, your donation allows us to purchase the equipment, medical supplies, and raw materials that literally make the difference between life and death.

For example, on the floating Uros Islands of Lake Titicaca near Puno, Peru, several children drown each year because the school and community can't afford the materials to build a playground and fence.

Medical equipment and supplies are tragically in short supply. Babies born in small local hospitals are placed on dirty old blankets because newer native blankets are sold to tourists; money is needed for food and shelter.

Look over our site and see the people your donation benefits. Your donation makes a difference.

You make a difference.
